Maximizing the lifespan of DTF applications starts with choosing the right materials and executing meticulous application methods. The film should be thick enough to withstand washing and friction without cracking or peeling.



Correct thermal setting is one of the key phases in the process. Many users skip proper timing and end up with transfers that lose vibrancy after few washes. Use a heat press that can consistently maintain the recommended thermal settings for the recommended time. Typically this is around 71 to 77 degrees Celsius for 8–18 seconds, but always refer to the ink manufacturer’s guidelines. Air drying is ideal but if using a dryer, select the coolest available setting to minimize ink breakdown.
